Franchising is statistically the best method yet devised to combine the independence and initiative of individual ownership with the strength and leadership of the organised group. In The Bagel Bar Coffee House we do everything we can to help you succeed. However, we recognise, as you must, that you are the single most important factor in your own success.
A. Fill out and submit the Master Franchise Enquiry Form. If you qualify, then we can begin the progress leading to your own Bagel Bar Coffee House master franchise operation. Many excellent opportunities in prospective countries and or regions / territories are still available.
An important consideration in setting up The Bagel Bar Coffee House brand in a country and or region / territory is how to finance your investment. The criteria for a prospective Master Franchisee is to have non financed funds available to own and operate a minimum of 2 stores plus the funding for payment of the regional fee. The funding required to open 2 stores is country specific as is the regional / territory fee. As part of the required investment the minimum number of stores a Master Franchisee must open prior to sub franchising the brand is 1 store in year one but depending on the region may also be required to open an additional company owned store in year one or two. Please provide details of non financed funding available in the Master Franchise Enquiry Form.
A. The initial master franchise fee is determined by the size and location of the country and or region / territory and the growth / expansion potential of the brand.
Before entering into any master franchise agreement a letter of intent (LOI) will be agreed and signed. This letter of intent outlines the terms acceptable for a country and or region / territory. Each Master Franchisee will be required to make a minimum payment, as a non refundable deposit based on the agreed country and or regional territory fee, as set out in the letter of intent. This deposit will allow the prospective Master Franchisee to enter into a 4-8 weeks exclusivity agreement to discuss and negotiate all terms outlined in the specific master franchise agreement.
The continuing service and royalty fee will be agreed between the Franchisor and the Master Franchisee excluding the marketing fee or any project management fees charged by the Master Franchisee to a sub franchisee.
A. The initial term is 10 years, after which you may renew for an additional 10 year period subject to the current franchise terms in place at the renewal date.
A. Yes. We will mutually agree and establish a marketing territory, in which you will have exclusive rights.
A. Each Master Franchisee as part of the agreement terms will provide a minimum of 2 staff members who will recieve an extensive four week training session on-site at one of the franchisor’s company owned stores. The training covers all aspects of operating / managing a Bagel Bar Coffee House outlet. The training programme’s objective is to develop an in-depth understanding of the concepts, practices and policies of all functions necessary to successfully operate and manage a Bagel Bar Coffee House franchise outlet.
A. In addition to your training, you will receive The Bagel Bar Coffee House Operations Manual covering the many important aspects of your operation. You will also receive a food safety manual and a health & safety manual. These manuals are updated regularly and revisions will be made available to you.
A. Yes, as part of a food supply agreement which is supplemental to the master franchise agreement you are required to purchase bagels and other proprietary supplies outlined in the supply agreement. There are a number of other products and supplies that may be sourced locally. All of these proprietary products and all other items are purchased from specific third party nominated suppliers, to ensure the product supplied in all stores is of a standardised high quality.
A. Each Master Franchisee will operate a centralised marketing strategy as set out in the terms of the master franchise agreement. The basis of which is to increase the brand and store recognition in the agreed region or territory. The marketing budget agreed will enable advertising on broadcast and print media, engendering brand awareness and loyalty.
A. Yes. Like any other business, you can sell your operation to any buyer approved by The Bagel Bar Coffee House Franchise Co. There is a transfer fee for administrative, legal and training expenses to effect the transfer.
A. The time frame and schedule in agreeing terms for each master franchise agreement for a country and or region / territory will depend on many factors. Generally expectations to enter and complete negotiations for a master franchise agreement (local factors depending) would be 4 – 6 months.
A. As a Master Franchisee your profit and loss will depend on a number of factors such as the country and or region / territory and the amount of company owned stores and or sub franchised stores opened. It will also depend on how much time you spend on the job, how good a business person you are, and the general market conditions. Naturally, as in any business venture, there is no guarantee as to the success and profitability. We help minimise your risk by giving you the benefit of a well-organised system and concept.
A. Our master franchise agreement is a valuable document, which we do not distribute indiscriminately. However, once you have had contact or a personal meeting with our Representative, and reviewed and agreed / signed a letter of intent (LOI) and paid the minimum (non refundable) deposit, we will be happy to enter into a 4-8 exclusivity agreement to discuss and negotiate all terms outlined in the specific Master Franchise agreement.
A. First, fill out the Master Franchise Application Enquiry Form and submit it to us. Upon receipt, you will be contacted directly or by one of our consultants to discuss terms and assist you through the process.
